When you first create something (like me creating my first blog ever), you usually value it! For example, you created a friendship, a painting, a house, or some yummy food, you will take that creation and value and treasure that for as long as you live!
God created us. Each and every living soul on this planet earth! He also values us! In other words, he pursues us every waiting moment!
As this is being my first blog post, I thought it would be appropriate to begin this first post talking about the Creation.
We all have heard the story. Genesis 1 "In the beginning..." It's the first three words of the bible. He created the heaven, the earth, day and night, the sea and the sky, the land, the plants and the trees, the livestock and the sea creatures, and the most valuable thing-- man. "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them" (v27). He created us the way He wanted us to be for a purpose. We will never be God, but He created us to be like him..loving, joy, peace, kind, so on. Also, God created man to blessed them, to be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth, and to have dominion over the fish, the birds, and over every living thing on earth. He gave us responsibilities.
In Genesis 1:31 "God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good.."
I'm not saying that everything that I've created was good because I'm only a human being. But for God, He is perfect and everything He created was SOOO GOOD! God has a plan for His people. He knew we needed food, light, water, and other needs. Therefore, He blessed us with these things.
Remember, you are the most valuable creation to God. You're more valuable than the birds in the sky! He created you, values you, and now, He wants to know you! Just like I said earlier in the post.. He pursues us! Relentlessly!!! (I can't put enough exclamation marks, because it's so true!) When I say He pursues us, He wants a personal relationship with us! Personal meaning intimate!
Romans 5:8 says, "but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
We can have a personal relentless relationship with God through Christ Jesus our Lord!
So go outside and look around. God created all that! And most importantly, God created you!
